And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a covenant with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Yisrael.

And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Plishti, and taketh away the reproach from Yisrael? for who is this uncircumcised Plishti, that he should defy the armies of the living Elohim?

Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

Moreover he put out TZidkiyah-yahu's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Bavel.

A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.

Hearken not to Hizkiyah-yahu: for thus saith the king of Ashur, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:

But the Plishtim took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Azah, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house.

Moreover he said, I am the Elohim of thy father, the Elohim of Avraham, the Elohim of Yitzchak, and the Elohim of Yaakov. And Moshe hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon Elohim.

And when ye saw that Nahash the king of the children of Ammon came against you, ye said unto me, Nay; but a king shall reign over us: when YY your Elohim was your king.

Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us.

Therefore the men of Jabesh said, To morrow we will come out unto you, and ye shall do with us all that seemeth good unto you.
