So king Shlomo sent, and they brought him down from the altar. And he came and bowed himself to king Shlomo: and Shlomo said unto him, Go to thine house.
It came even to pass on the third day, that, behold, a man came out of the camp from Saul with his clothes rent, and earth upon his head: and so it was, when he came to David, that he fell to the earth, and did obeisance.
And Shlomo said, If he will shew himself a worthy man, there shall not an hair of him fall to the earth: but if wickedness shall be found in him, he shall die.
So Yoav came to the king, and told him: and when he had called for Avshalom, he came to the king, and bowed himself on his face to the ground before the king: and the king kissed Avshalom.
