The Lord will settle his argument with Israel by sending the people far away. He will speak harshly to Israel. His words will burn like the hot desert wind.

Your anger presses down on me like a heavy weight. It’s like one wave after another pounding against me. Selah

I was afraid of the Lord’s terrible anger. He was angry enough to destroy you, but the Lord listened to me again.
