Lord, teach me your laws, and I will always follow them.

Give me the desire to follow your rules, not the desire to get rich.

Take away any desire to do evil. Keep me from joining the wicked in doing wrong. Help me stay away from their feasts.

Ezra had always given his time and attention to studying and obeying the law of the Lord. He also loved to teach its rules and commandments to others in Israel.

I always remembered his laws. I never rejected his rules.
