My God, my God, why have you left me? You seem too far away to save me, too far to hear my cries for help!

Don’t turn away from me. Don’t be angry with your servant. You are the only one who can help me. My God, don’t leave me all alone. You are my Savior.

God, you are the hope of Israel! You save Israel in times of trouble. But now it seems like you are a stranger in the land, like a traveler who only stays one night.

Lord, why have you abandoned me? Why do you refuse to listen to me?

God is our protection and source of strength. He is always ready to help us in times of trouble.

Why are you hiding from us? Have you forgotten our pain and troubles?

Yes, Lord, while you were kind to me, I felt that nothing could defeat me. But when you turned away from me, I was filled with fear.

God, why do you avoid me and treat me like your enemy?

But if God decides not to help them, no one can judge him guilty. If he hides himself, no one can find him. He is the ruler over every person and nation.

When he is working in the north, I don’t see him. When he turns to the south, I still don’t see him.

We have been pushed down into the dirt. We are lying face down in the dust.

You seem like a man who has been attacked by surprise, like a soldier who does not have the power to save anyone. But, Lord, you are with us. We are called by your name, so don’t leave us without help!”
