Punish a rude, arrogant person, and even slow learners will become wiser. But just a little correction is enough to teach a person who has understanding.

Wise people want to learn more, so they listen closely to gain knowledge.

Teach the wise, and they will become wiser. Instruct those who live right, and they will gain more knowledge.

When Ananias heard this, he fell down and died. Some young men came and wrapped his body. They carried it out and buried it. And everyone who heard about this was filled with fear.

Some people like to do things their own way, and they get upset when people give them advice.

Criticize a person who is rude and shows no respect, and you will only get insults. Correct the wicked, and you will only get hurt.
