“Speak to the Israelites and say to them: I am giving you a land to be your home. When you enter that land,

If the first piece of bread is offered to God, then the whole loaf is made holy. If the roots of a tree are holy, the tree’s branches are holy too.

The Lord said to Moses,

When you eat the food that grows in that land, you must give part of that food as an offering to the Lord.
