So always tell each other the wrong things you have done. Then pray for each other. Do this so that God can heal you. Anyone who lives the way God wants can pray, and great things will happen.

God wanted to destroy those people, but Moses, the leader he chose, stood in the way. God was very angry, but Moses begged him to stop, so God did not destroy the people.

Lord our God, you answered their prayers. You showed them that you are a forgiving God and that you punish people for the evil they do.

This is what the Lord says: “The people who escaped the enemy’s sword will find comfort in the desert. Israel will go there looking for rest.”

Moses said to Pharaoh, “I will pray for you, your people, and your officials. Then the frogs will leave you and your houses. They will remain only in the river. When do you want the frogs to go away?”

So the Lord felt sorry for the people. He did not do what he said he might do—he did not destroy them.
