Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t be afraid. Go tell my followers to go to Galilee. They will see me there.”

God knew them before he made the world. And he decided that they would be like his Son. Then Jesus would be the firstborn of many brothers and sisters.

Jesus said to her, “You don’t need to hold on to me! I have not yet gone back up to the Father. But go to my followers and tell them this: ‘I am going back to my Father and your Father. I am going back to my God and your God.’”

And go quickly and tell his followers, ‘Jesus has risen from death. He is going into Galilee and will be there before you. You will see him there.’” Then the angel said, “Now I have told you.”

Now go and tell his followers. And be sure to tell Peter. Tell them, ‘Jesus is going into Galilee and will be there before you come. You will see him there, as he told you before.’”

The angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Jesus, the one who was killed on the cross.

But Jesus quickly spoke to them. He said, “Don’t worry! It’s me! Don’t be afraid.”

But he said to them, “Don’t be afraid. It’s me.”

“The king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you refused to do for any of my people here, you refused to do for me.’

“Then the king will answer, ‘The truth is, anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.’

Then the Israelites threw away the foreign gods and began to worship the Lord again. So he felt sorry for them when he saw them suffering.

But after I am killed, I will rise from death. Then I will go into Galilee. I will be there before you go there.”

Suddenly, Jesus was there in front of them. He said, “Hello!” The women went to him and, holding on to his feet, worshiped him.

The eleven followers went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus told them to go.
