They will go on pretending to be devoted to God, but they will refuse to let that “devotion” change the way they live. Stay away from these people!

They still come every day to worship me, acting as if they want to learn my ways. They pretend to be a nation that lives right and obeys the commands of their God. They ask me to judge them fairly. They want their God to be near them.

“Write this to the angel of the church in Sardis: “Here is a message from the one who has the seven spirits and the seven stars. “I know what you do. People say that you are alive, but really you are dead.

She works late into the night to make sure her business earns a profit.
