The next day they were coming near Joppa about noon, when Peter was going up to the roof to pray.

One afternoon about three o’clock, Cornelius had a vision. He clearly saw an angel from God coming to him and saying, “Cornelius!”

One day Peter and John went to the Temple area. It was three o’clock in the afternoon, which was the time for the daily Temple prayer service.

Jesus answered, “There are twelve hours of light in the day. Whoever walks in the day will not stumble and fall because they can see with the light from the sun.

Jacob’s well was there. Jesus was tired from his long trip, so he sat down beside the well. It was about noon.

He answered, “Come with me and you will see.” So the two men went with him. They saw the place where he was staying, and they stayed there with him that day. It was about four o’clock.

At noon the whole country became dark. The darkness continued for three hours.

So he said to them, ‘If you go and work in my field, I will pay you what your work is worth.’

About five o’clock the man went to the marketplace again. He saw some other people standing there. He asked them, ‘Why did you stand here all day doing nothing?’
