And you know his commands: ‘You must not murder anyone, you must not commit adultery, you must not steal, you must not lie, you must not cheat, you must respect your father and mother ….’”

The law says, “You must not commit adultery, you must not murder anyone, you must not steal, you must not want what belongs to someone else.” All these commands and all other commands are really only one rule: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.”

God said, “Don’t commit adultery.” The same God also said, “Don’t kill.” So if you don’t commit adultery, but you kill someone, you are guilty of breaking all of God’s law.

And you know his commands: ‘You must not commit adultery, you must not murder anyone, you must not steal, you must not tell lies about others, you must respect your father and mother ….’”

Never wrong any of your fellow believers or cheat them in this way. The Lord will punish those who do that. We have already told you this and warned you about it.

The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.”

Some of you people want to be under the law. Tell me, do you know what the law says?

because no one can be made right with God by following the law. The law only shows us our sin.

You should follow the teachings and the agreement. I swear, if you follow those other things, there is no future for you.

Jesus answered, “Why do you call me good? Only God is good.
