When Jesus heard this he said, “The end of this sickness will not be death. No, this sickness is for the glory of God. This has happened to bring glory to the Son of God.”

Then Jesus said to her, “Remember what I told you? I said that if you believed, you would see God’s divine greatness.”

The blind can see. The crippled can walk. People with leprosy are healed. The deaf can hear. The dead are brought back to life. And the Good News is being told to the poor.

After the Lord finished talking to Job, he spoke to Eliphaz from Teman. He said, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you did not tell the truth about me, as my servant Job did.

The Jewish leaders could not find a way to punish the apostles, because all the people were praising God for what had been done. This miracle was a sign from God. The man who was healed was more than 40 years old. So the Jewish leaders warned the apostles again and let them go free.

When the people living on the island saw the snake hanging from his hand, they said, “This man must be a murderer! He did not die in the sea, but Justice does not want him to live.”

“But I know what you are thinking, and I know you want to hurt me.

Elihu was also angry with Job’s three friends because they could not answer him, and yet they still considered him guilty of doing wrong.

This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him.

So we know the love that God has for us, and we trust that love. God is love. Everyone who lives in love lives in God, and God lives in them.
