The day Jesus had made mud and healed the man’s eyes was a Sabbath day.

Immediately the man was well. He picked up his mat and started walking. The day all this happened was a Sabbath day.

Jesus was doing all this on the Sabbath day. So these Jews began trying to make him stop.

On a Sabbath day, Jesus went to the home of a leading Pharisee to eat with him. The people there were all watching him very closely.

On the Sabbath day, Jesus and his followers were walking through some grain fields. The followers picked some grain to eat.

After Jesus said this, he spit on the dirt, made some mud and put it on the man’s eyes.

Then the people brought the man to the Pharisees.
