But someone may ask, “How are the dead raised? What kind of body will they have?”

They asked, “What did he do to you? How did he heal your eyes?”

But we don’t know why he can see now. We don’t know who healed his eyes. Ask him. He is old enough to answer for himself.”

So the Pharisees asked the man, “How did you get your sight?” He answered, “He put mud on my eyes. I washed, and now I can see.”

Nicodemus asked, “How is all this possible?”

The seed begins to grow. It grows night and day. It doesn’t matter whether the man is sleeping or awake, the seed still grows. He doesn’t know how it happens.

You don’t know where the wind blows. And you don’t know how a baby grows in its mother’s womb. In the same way, you don’t know what God will do—and he makes everything happen.

Then the officials asked Baruch, “Tell us, Baruch, where did you get these messages that you wrote on the scroll? Did you write down what Jeremiah said to you?”

Later, Jesus went across Lake Galilee (also known as Lake Tiberias).

Some people said, “Yes! He is the one.” But others said, “No, he can’t be the same man. He only looks like him.” So the man himself said, “I am that same man.”

He answered, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. Then he told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went there and washed. And then I could see.”
