A third time Jesus said, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was sad because Jesus asked him three times, “Do you love me?” He said, “Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!” Jesus said to him, “Take care of my sheep.

Nothing in all the world can be hidden from God. He can clearly see all things. Everything is open before him. And to him we must explain the way we have lived.

I told them the words you gave me, and they accepted them. They realized the fact that I came from you and believed that you sent me.

Some of the followers said to each other, “What does he mean when he says, ‘After a short time you won’t see me. Then after another short time you will see me again’? And what does he mean when he says, ‘Because I am going to the Father’?”

The Father loves the Son and shows him everything he does. This man was healed. But the Father will show the Son greater things than this to do. Then you will all be amazed.

The woman answered, “Now I know that you really are a man from God. I know that the Lord really speaks through you!”

This was the first of all the miraculous signs Jesus did. He did it in the town of Cana in Galilee. By this he showed his divine greatness, and his followers believed in him.

Jesus said to them, “If God were really your Father, you would love me. I came from God, and now I am here. I did not come by my own authority. God sent me.

In that day you will not have to ask me about anything. And I assure you, my Father will give you anything you ask him for in my name.

Then you will be able to ask the Father for things in my name. I’m not saying that I will have to ask the Father for you.

Jesus said, “So now you believe?
