Live a life of love. Love others just as Christ loved us. He gave himself for us—a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

This is my command: Love each other.

You have made yourselves pure by obeying the truth. Now you can have true love for your brothers and sisters. So love each other deeply—with all your heart.

Help each other with your troubles. When you do this, you are obeying the law of Christ.

This is what God commands: that we believe in his Son Jesus Christ, and that we love each other as he commanded.

God gave us this command: If we love God, we must also love each other as brothers and sisters.

One law rules over all other laws. This royal law is found in the Scriptures: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.” If you obey this law, you are doing right.

We pray that the Lord will make your love grow. We pray that he will give you more and more love for each other and for all people. We pray that you will love everyone in the same way we love you.

Love each other in a way that makes you feel close like brothers and sisters. And give each other more honor than you give yourself.

And now, dear lady, I tell you: We should all love each other. This is not a new command. It is the same command we had from the beginning.

When we have the opportunity to do good to anyone, we should do it. But we should give special attention to those who are in the family of believers.

This is the teaching you have heard from the beginning: We must love each other.

You must treat them the same as you treat your own citizens. Love them as you love yourselves. Remember, you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God!

Continue loving each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Brothers and sisters, we thank God for you always. And that’s what we should do, because you give us good reason to be thankful: Your faith is growing more and more. And the love that every one of you has for each other is also growing.

But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person’s life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.

We thank him because we have heard about the faith you have in Christ Jesus and the love you have for all of God’s people.

When someone belongs to Christ Jesus, it is not important if they are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith—the kind of faith that works through love.

Father, I pray that all who believe in me can be one. You are in me and I am in you. I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me.

I am a friend to everyone who worships you. I am a friend to everyone who obeys your instructions.

But you have also said about the gods of this land, “They are my powerful gods. They are the ones who make me happy.”

But I tell you, love your enemies. Pray for those who treat you badly.

You should owe nothing to anyone, except that you will always owe love to each other. The person who loves others has done all that the law commands.

Love doesn’t hurt others. So loving is the same as obeying all the law.
