The Word became a man and lived among us. We saw his divine greatness—the greatness that belongs to the only Son of the Father. The Word was full of grace and truth.

This is how God showed his love to us: He sent his only Son into the world to give us life through him.

Without a doubt, the secret of our life of worship is great: Christ was shown to us in human form; the Spirit proved that he was right; he was seen by angels. The message about him was told to the nations; people in the world believed in him; he was taken up to heaven in glory.

In the beginning, before the earth was made, the Word was there. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.

But when the right time came, God sent his Son, who was born from a woman and lived under the law.

Then the Glory of the Lord will be shown to everyone. Together, all people will see it. Yes, this is what the Lord himself said!”

The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side of God, the Great One in heaven.

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my body. I will give my body so that the people in the world can have life.”

God was pleased for all of himself to live in the Son.

The first man came from the dust of the earth. The second man came from heaven.

The law was without power because it was made weak by our sinful selves. But God did what the law could not do: He sent his own Son to earth with the same human life that everyone else uses for sin. God sent him to be an offering to pay for sin. So God used a human life to destroy sin.

But the Lord will still show you this sign: The young woman is pregnant and will give birth to a son. She will name him Immanuel.

Let me tell you about the Lord’s agreement: He said to me, “Today I have become your father, and you are my son.

We have seen that the Father sent his Son to be the Savior of the world, and this is what we tell people now.

I say this because all of God lives in Christ fully, even in his life on earth.

Many false teachers are in the world now. They refuse to say that Jesus Christ came to earth and became a man. Anyone who refuses to accept this fact is a false teacher and the enemy of Christ.

He was always close to the Lord. He grew up like a young plant, like a root growing in dry ground. There was nothing special or impressive about the way he looked, nothing we could see that would cause us to like him.

I heard a loud voice from the throne. It said, “Now God’s home is with people. He will live with them. They will be his people. God himself will be with them and will be their God.

It is the same with Christ. He did not choose himself to have the honor of becoming a high priest. But God chose him. God said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” Psalm 2:7

So when Christ came into the world he said, “You don’t want sacrifices and offerings, but you have prepared a body for me.

Then Jesus said to her, “Remember what I told you? I said that if you believed, you would see God’s divine greatness.”

Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life.

This was the first of all the miraculous signs Jesus did. He did it in the town of Cana in Galilee. By this he showed his divine greatness, and his followers believed in him.

Jesus answered, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.

God never said this to any of the angels: “You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.” Psalm 2:7 God also never said about an angel, “I will be his Father, and he will be my son.” 2 Samuel 7:14

Jesus answered, “Philip, I have been with you for a long time. So you should know me. Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father too. So why do you say, ‘Show us the Father’?

Peter and the others were asleep. But they woke up and saw the glory of Jesus. They also saw the two men who were standing with him.

I have given them the glory that you gave me. I gave them this glory so that they can be one, just as you and I are one.

People who believe in God’s Son are not judged guilty. But people who do not believe are already judged, because they have not believed in God’s only Son.

Today your Savior was born in David’s town. He is the Messiah, the Lord.

You are more handsome than anyone, and you say such pleasant things. So God will always bless you.

Jesus, the one who makes people holy, and those who are made holy are from the same family. So he is not ashamed to call them his brothers and sisters.

But the Lord said, “My grace is all you need. Only when you are weak can everything be done completely by my power.” So I will gladly boast about my weaknesses. Then Christ’s power can stay in me.

Jacob was the father of Joseph. Joseph was the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus, who is called the Messiah.

In him all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are kept safe.

I am the least important of all God’s people. But he gave me this gift—to tell the non-Jewish people the Good News about the riches Christ has. These riches are too great to understand fully.

They are the descendants of our great fathers, and they are the earthly family of the Messiah, who is God over all things. Praise him forever! Amen.

She gave birth to her first son. She wrapped him up well and laid him in a box where cattle are fed. She put him there because the guest room was full.

We are their descendants, and God has made this promise come true for us. God did this by raising Jesus from death. We also read about this in Psalm 2: ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your Father.’ Psalm 2:7

He will soon save his faithful followers. His glory will again live in our land.

My Holy Tent will be with them. Yes, I will be their God and they will be my people.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

“Father, I want these people you have given me to be with me in every place I am. I want them to see my glory—the glory you gave me because you loved me before the world was made.

Pilate said, “So you are a king.” Jesus answered, “You are right to say that I am a king. I was born for this: to tell people about the truth. That is why I came into the world. And everyone who belongs to the truth listens to me.”

He was dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and he was called the Word of God.
