This is what the Lord says: ‘People of Jerusalem, don’t fool yourselves. Don’t say to yourselves, “The army of Babylon will surely leave us alone.” They will not.

Your pride has fooled you. You live in those caves high on the cliff. Your home is high in the hills. So you say to yourself, ‘No one can bring me to the ground.’”

Do what God’s teaching says; don’t just listen and do nothing. When you only sit and listen, you are fooling yourselves.

Don’t be fooled by anything they might say. That day of the Lord will not come until the turning away from God happens. And that day will not come until the Man of Evil appears, the one who belongs to hell.

Don’t let anyone fool you with words that are not true. God gets very angry when people who don’t obey him talk like that.

If you think you can fool God, you are only fooling yourselves. You will harvest what you plant.

If you think you are too important to do this, you are only fooling yourself.

The Lord All-Powerful, the God of the people of Israel, says, “Don’t let your prophets and those who practice magic fool you. Don’t listen to the dreams they have.

That evil man should not fool himself by trusting in worthless things, because he will keep nothing.
