Then you could enjoy the Lord. As the Lord himself says, “I could carry you up to the highest mountain and let you enjoy the land that I gave to your father Jacob.”

He led you through that great and terrible desert where there were poisonous snakes and scorpions. The ground was dry, and there was no water anywhere. But he gave you water out of a solid rock.

He makes my feet as steady as those of a deer. Even on steep mountains he keeps me from falling.

He will never again enjoy so much wealth— rivers flowing with honey and cream.
