So today I can tell you one thing that I am sure of: God will not blame me if some of you are not saved.

But they disagreed with what Paul was teaching and started insulting him. So Paul shook the dust from his clothes. He said to them, “If you are not saved, it will be your own fault! I have done all I can do. After this I will go only to the non-Jewish people.”

There were many people with Jesus when he raised Lazarus from death and told him to come out of the tomb. Now they were telling others about what Jesus did.

I can tell you that they gave as much as they were able and even more than they could afford. No one told them to do this. It was their idea.

Open your hearts to us. We have not done wrong to anyone or caused harm to anyone. And we have not cheated anyone.

I tell you this, and I ask God to be my witness that this is true: The reason I did not come back to Corinth was that I did not want to punish or hurt you.

I can say this about them: They really try hard to follow God, but they don’t know the right way.

(The one who saw this happen has told about it. He told about it so that you also can believe. The things he says are true. He knows that he tells the truth.)

Even now there is someone in heaven who will speak for me. There is someone above who will testify for me.

Later David heard the news and said, “My kingdom and I are innocent of the death of Abner son of Ner. The Lord knows this.

Think carefully before you lay your hands on anyone to make him an elder. Don’t share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

So today I have told you the message from the Lord. But you have not obeyed the Lord your God. You have not done all that he sent me to tell you to do.
