If one part of the body suffers, then all the other parts suffer with it. Or if one part is honored, then all the other parts share its honor.

So always tell each other the wrong things you have done. Then pray for each other. Do this so that God can heal you. Anyone who lives the way God wants can pray, and great things will happen.

And you can help us with your prayers. Then many people will give thanks for us—that God blessed us because of their many prayers.

To say it another way, if two of you on earth agree on anything you pray for, my Father in heaven will do what you ask.

Don’t forget those who are in prison. Remember them as though you were in prison with them. And don’t forget those who are suffering. Remember them as though you were suffering with them.

When Peter realized this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John, who was also called Mark. Many people were gathered there and were praying.

Then Jesus taught the followers that they should always pray and never lose hope. He used this story to teach them:

He arrested Peter and put him in jail, where he was guarded by a group of 16 soldiers. Herod planned to bring Peter before the people, but he wanted to wait until after the Passover festival.

One night, Peter, bound with two chains, was sleeping between two of the soldiers. More soldiers were guarding the door of the jail. Herod was planning to bring Peter out before the people the next day.
