After David had finished giving the burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, he used the Lord’s name to bless the people.

Then, in a loud voice, he asked God to bless all the people of Israel. Solomon said,

God has sent his special servant Jesus. He sent him to you first. He sent him to bless you by causing each of you to turn away from your evil ways.”

The priests and the Levites stood up and asked God to bless the people, and he heard them. Their prayer came up to heaven, the holy place where he lives.

When Hezekiah and the leaders came, they saw the piles of things that were collected. They praised the Lord and his people, the Israelites.

May no one walking by those wicked people ever say, “May the Lord bless you! We bless you in the name of the Lord.”
