Saul knew David’s voice and said, “Is that your voice, David my son?” David answered, “Yes, it is my voice, my lord the king.

But the Spirit was helping him speak with wisdom. His words were so strong that these Jews could not argue with him.

I will give you the wisdom to say things that none of your enemies can answer.

A gentle answer makes anger disappear, but a rough answer makes it grow.

Honest words are powerful, but your arguments prove nothing.

Peace to those who help you, because your God helps you.” So David welcomed these men into his group and put them in charge of the troops.
