Never brag about what you will do in the future; you have no idea what tomorrow will bring.

I also saw other things in this life that were not fair. The fastest runner does not always win the race; the strongest soldier does not always win the battle; wise people don’t always get the food; smart people don’t always get the wealth; educated people don’t always get the praise they deserve. When the time comes, bad things can happen to anyone!

Then he remembered what Jesus had told him: “Before the rooster crows, you will say three times that you don’t know me.” Then Peter went outside and cried bitterly.

The Moabites heard that the kings had come up to fight against them. So they gathered together all the men old enough to wear armor and waited at the border.
