God gave us this command: If we love God, we must also love each other as brothers and sisters.

Forget about the wrong things people do to you. Don’t try to get even. Love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

This is the teaching you have heard from the beginning: We must love each other.

We don’t need to write to you about having love for your brothers and sisters in Christ. God has already taught you to love each other.

So all of you should live together in peace. Try to understand each other. Love each other like brothers and sisters. Be kind and humble.

The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.”

This is what I command you: Love each other as I have loved you.

This is what God commands: that we believe in his Son Jesus Christ, and that we love each other as he commanded.

We know that we have left death and have come into life. We know this because we love each other as brothers and sisters. Anyone who does not love is still in death.

Most important of all, love each other deeply, because love makes you willing to forgive many sins.

The teacher of the law answered, “The one who helped him.” Jesus said, “Then you go and do the same.”

That is how much God loved us, dear friends! So we also must love each other.

When someone belongs to Christ Jesus, it is not important if they are circumcised or not. The important thing is faith—the kind of faith that works through love.

My children, our love should not be only words and talk. No, our love must be real. We must show our love by the things we do.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

My dear friends, I am not writing a new command to you. It is the same command you have had since the beginning. This command is the teaching you have already heard.
