We know that we live in God and God lives in us. We know this because he gave us his Spirit.

All who obey God’s commands live in God. And God lives in them. How do we know that God lives in us? We know because of the Spirit he gave us.

We received the Spirit that is from God, not the spirit of the world. We received God’s Spirit so that we can know all that God has given us.

You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit that you received from God and that lives in you. You don’t own yourselves.

If we obey what God has told us to do, then we are sure that we know him.

But when we obey God’s teaching, his love is truly working in us. This is how we know that we are living in him.
