Lord, how long will You forget me? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

Why do You hide Your face and consider me Your enemy?

Rise up, Lord God! Lift up Your hand. Do not forget the afflicted.

Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue my life from their ravages, my only one from the young lions.

Why do You hide Yourself and forget our affliction and oppression?

my whole being is shaken with terror. And You, Lord — how long?

Why have You rejected us forever, God? Why does Your anger burn against the sheep of Your pasture?

Lord God of Hosts, how long will You be angry with Your people’s prayers?

Will You be angry with us forever? Will You prolong Your anger for all generations?

How long, Lord? Will You hide Yourself forever? Will Your anger keep burning like fire?

Satisfy us in the morning with Your faithful love so that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.

But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, and your sins have made Him hide His face from you so that He does not listen.

Why have You forgotten us forever, abandoned us for our entire lives?

My anger will burn against them on that day; I will abandon them and hide My face from them so that they will become easy prey. Many troubles and afflictions will come to them. On that day they will say, ‘Haven’t these troubles come to us because our God is no longer with us? ’
