Do not hide Your face from me in my day of trouble. Listen closely to me; answer me quickly when I call.

But when God is silent, who can declare Him guilty? When He hides His face, who can see Him? Yet He watches over both individuals and nations,

Why not forgive my sin and pardon my transgression? For soon I will lie down in the grave. You will eagerly seek me, but I will be gone.

When You hide Your face, they are terrified; when You take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.

Lord, how long will You forget me? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me?

Answer me quickly, Lord; my spirit fails. Don’t hide Your face from me, or I will be like those going down to the Pit.

Lord, hear a just cause; pay attention to my cry; listen to my prayer — from lips free of deceit.

But You, Lord, don’t be far away. My strength, come quickly to help me.

Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my helper; do not leave me or abandon me, God of my salvation.

Listen closely to me; rescue me quickly. Be a rock of refuge for me, a mountain fortress to save me.

Lord, be pleased to deliver me; hurry to help me, Lord.

Don’t hide Your face from Your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me quickly!

God, deliver me. Hurry to help me, Lord!

In Your justice, rescue and deliver me; listen closely to me and save me.

After a long time, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned because of their difficult labor, and they cried out; and their cry for help ascended to God because of the difficult labor.

So God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.

Even before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear.

I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob. I will wait for Him.

No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape so that you are able to bear it.
