For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin.

Yet He knows the way I have taken; when He has tested me, I will emerge as pure gold.

The wicked man will see it and be angry; he will gnash his teeth in despair. The desire of the wicked man will come to nothing.

Although my spirit is weak within me, You know my way. Along this path I travel they have hidden a trap for me.

Look to the right and see: no one stands up for me; there is no refuge for me; no one cares about me.

The Lord protects foreigners and helps the fatherless and the widow, but He frustrates the ways of the wicked.

There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.

The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but He loves the one who pursues righteousness.

The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of distress; He cares for those who take refuge in Him.

“Enter through the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go through it.

“I am the good shepherd. I know My own sheep, and they know Me,

My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, having this inscription: The Lord knows those who are His, and Everyone who names the name of the Lord must turn away from unrighteousness.

But these people, like irrational animals — creatures of instinct born to be caught and destroyed — speak blasphemies about things they don’t understand, and in their destruction they too will be destroyed,

He guards the steps of His faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness, for a man does not prevail by his own strength.
