“This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

But as for you, do you seek great things for yourself? Stop seeking! For I am about to bring disaster on every living creature’ — this is the Lord’s declaration — ‘but I will grant you your life like the spoils of war wherever you go.’ ”

But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you should speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour,

Now the one sown among the thorns — this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age and the seduction of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat? ’ or ‘What will we drink? ’ or ‘What will we wear? ’

Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

So when they arrest you and hand you over, don’t worry beforehand what you will say. On the contrary, whatever is given to you in that hour — say it. For it isn’t you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.

but the worries of this age, the seduction of wealth, and the desires for other things enter in and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

Whenever they bring you before synagogues and rulers and authorities, don’t worry about how you should defend yourselves or what you should say.

As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.

He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all; how will He not also with Him grant us everything?

I want you to be without concerns. An unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord — how he may please the Lord.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the concerns of civilian life; he seeks to please the recruiter.

casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.
