Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commands and teaches people to do so will be called least in the kingdom of heaven. But whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I carefully follow all Your precepts and hate every false way.

Then I would not be ashamed when I think about all Your commands.

Those who are wise will shine like the bright expanse of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

“I assure you: Among those born of women no one greater than John the Baptist has appeared, but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

It must not be like that among you. On the contrary, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant,

For he will be great in the sight of the Lord and will never drink wine or beer. He will be filled with the Holy Spirit while still in his mother’s womb.

“But woe to you Pharisees! You give a tenth of mint, rue, and every kind of herb, and you bypass justice and love for God. These things you should have done without neglecting the others.

He told them, “Whoever welcomes this little child in My name welcomes Me. And whoever welcomes Me welcomes Him who sent Me. For whoever is least among you — this one is great.”

And why not say, just as some people slanderously claim we say, “Let us do what is evil so that good may come”? Their condemnation is deserved!

What should we say then? Should we continue in sin so that grace may multiply?

What then? Should we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

You must be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.

‘Anyone who does not put the words of this law into practice is cursed.’ And all the people will say, ‘Amen! ’

But you, man of God, run from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and gentleness.

This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone.

And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.

Everyone who commits sin also breaks the law; sin is the breaking of law.

But I have this against you: You tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and teaches and deceives My slaves to commit sexual immorality and to eat meat sacrificed to idols.

“Therefore, this is the declaration of the Lord, the God of Israel: ‘Although I said your family and your ancestral house would walk before Me forever, the Lord now says, “No longer! ” I will honor those who honor Me, but those who despise Me will be disgraced.
