“Go into the city to a certain man,” He said, “and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My time is near; I am celebrating the Passover at your place with My disciples.’ ”

If anyone says anything to you, you should say that the Lord needs them, and immediately he will send them.”

And do not be called masters either, because you have one Master, the Messiah.

“But as for you, do not be called ‘Rabbi,’ because you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

“You know that the Passover takes place after two days, and the Son of Man will be handed over to be crucified.”

So he went right up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi! ” and kissed Him.

While He was still speaking, people came from the synagogue leader’s house and said, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the Teacher anymore? ”

Every day while I was with you in the temple complex, you never laid a hand on Me. But this is your hour — and the dominion of darkness.”

Having said this, she went back and called her sister Mary, saying in private, “The Teacher is here and is calling for you.”

Jesus replied to them, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.

Before the Passover Festival, Jesus knew that His hour had come to depart from this world to the Father. Having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.

Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said: Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son so that the Son may glorify You,

Jesus said, “Mary.” Turning around, she said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni!” — which means “Teacher.”

Then they tried to seize Him. Yet no one laid a hand on Him because His hour had not yet come.

Jesus told them, “My time has not yet arrived, but your time is always at hand.

Go up to the festival yourselves. I’m not going up to the festival yet, because My time has not yet fully come.”
