When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to him, saying, “I am God Almighty. Live in My presence and be blameless.

These are the family records of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries; Noah walked with God.

There was a man in the country of Uz named Job. He was a man of perfect integrity, who feared God and turned away from evil.

Watch the blameless and observe the upright, for the man of peace will have a future.

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

“I have kept all these,” the young man told Him. “What do I still lack? ”

When the young man heard that command, he went away grieving, because he had many possessions.

Jesus said to them, “I assure you: In the Messianic Age, when the Son of Man sits on His glorious throne, you who have followed Me will also sit on 12 thrones, judging the 12 tribes of Israel.

“Follow Me,” He told them, “and I will make you fish for people! ”

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

But Jesus told him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

As Jesus went on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me! ” So he got up and followed Him.

Then, looking at him, Jesus loved him and said to him, “You lack one thing: Go, sell all you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

Then, moving on, He saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me! ” So he got up and followed Him.

Summoning the crowd along with His disciples, He said to them, “If anyone wants to be My follower, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me.

Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Make money-bags for yourselves that won’t grow old, an inexhaustible treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by means of the unrighteous money so that when it fails, they may welcome you into eternal dwellings.

When Jesus heard this, He told him, “You still lack one thing: Sell all that you have and distribute it to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow Me.”

After this, Jesus went out and saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the tax office, and He said to him, “Follow Me! ”

A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.

Then He said to them all, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross daily, and follow Me.

My sheep hear My voice, I know them, and they follow Me.

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me. Where I am, there My servant also will be. If anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him.

They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as anyone had a need.

For you sympathized with the prisoners and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, knowing that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.
