He answered them, “Because the secrets of the kingdom of heaven have been given for you to know, but it has not been given to them.

And they said, “Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God! ”

“But you,” He asked them again, “who do you say that I am? ” Peter answered Him, “You are the Messiah! ”

“But you,” He asked them, “who do you say that I am? ” Peter answered, “God’s Messiah! ”
