They will not hunger or thirst, the scorching heat or sun will not strike them; for their compassionate One will guide them, and lead them to springs of water.

Yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived. When pressure or persecution comes because of the word, immediately he stumbles.

Others fell on rocky ground, where there wasn’t much soil, and they sprang up quickly since the soil wasn’t deep.

Others fell among thorns, and the thorns came up and choked them.

When the sun came up, it was scorched, and since it didn’t have a root, it withered.

And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.

and that the Messiah may dwell in your hearts through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love,

if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.

They will no longer hunger; they will no longer thirst; the sun will no longer strike them, nor will any heat.
