“The kingdom of heaven is like treasure, buried in a field, that a man found and reburied. Then in his joy he goes and sells everything he has and buys that field.

No man can know its value, since it cannot be found in the land of the living.

Get wisdom — how much better it is than gold! And get understanding — it is preferable to silver.

Why does a fool have money in his hand with no intention of buying wisdom?

One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires; he rebels against all sound judgment.

Buy — and do not sell — truth, wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

“Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the waters; and you without money, come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost!

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

In the same way, therefore, every one of you who does not say good-bye to all his possessions cannot be My disciple.

“I am the bread of life,” Jesus told them. “No one who comes to Me will ever be hungry, and no one who believes in Me will ever be thirsty again.

For whatever was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that we may have hope through endurance and through the encouragement from the Scriptures.

All the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him.

Let the message about the Messiah dwell richly among you, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, and singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, with gratitude in your hearts to God.

For you sympathized with the prisoners and accepted with joy the confiscation of your possessions, knowing that you yourselves have a better and enduring possession.

I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire so that you may be rich, white clothes so that you may be dressed and your shameful nakedness not be exposed, and ointment to spread on your eyes so that you may see.
