The landowner’s slaves came to him and said, ‘Master, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Then where did the weeds come from? ’

But while people were sleeping, his enemy came, sowed weeds among the wheat, and left.

When the plants sprouted and produced grain, then the weeds also appeared.

“ ‘An enemy did this! ’ he told them. “ ‘So, do you want us to go and gather them up? ’ the slaves asked him.

“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard.

Now I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause dissensions and obstacles contrary to the doctrine you have learned. Avoid them,

If Timothy comes, see that he has nothing to fear from you, because he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.

Working together with Him, we also appeal to you, “Don’t receive God’s grace in vain.”

But as God’s ministers, we commend ourselves in everything: by great endurance, by afflictions, by hardship, by difficulties,

Adulteresses! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy.
