To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, there will be no dawn for them.

Some Pharisees approached Him to test Him. They asked, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife? ”

They said, “Moses permitted us to write divorce papers and send her away.”

Just then an expert in the law stood up to test Him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life? ”

You pore over the Scriptures because you think you have eternal life in them, yet they testify about Me.

Tell me, those of you who want to be under the law, don’t you hear the law?
