What more could I have done for My vineyard than I did? Why, when I expected a yield of good grapes, did it yield worthless grapes?

to provide for those who mourn in Zion; to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. And they will be called righteous trees, planted by the Lord to glorify Him.

I planted you, a choice vine from the very best seed. How then could you turn into a degenerate, foreign vine?

“Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.

Even now the ax is ready to strike the root of the trees! Therefore, every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the speck that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the log in your eye? Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the speck in your brother’s eye.
