When he was in distress, he sought the favor of Yahweh his God and earnestly humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.

After all that has happened to us because of our evil deeds and terrible guilt — though You, our God, have punished us less than our sins deserve and have allowed us to survive —

When the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were terrified and said, “This man really was God’s Son! ”

But the other answered, rebuking him: “Don’t you even fear God, since you are undergoing the same punishment?

Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom! ”

You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves with you believers.

Therefore, submit to God. But resist the Devil, and he will flee from you.

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.

when He was reviled, He did not revile in return; when He was suffering, He did not threaten but entrusted Himself to the One who judges justly.
