God is not partial to princes and does not favor the rich over the poor, for they are all the work of His hands.

They lie to one another; they speak with flattering lips and deceptive hearts.

This man came to Him at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher, for no one could perform these signs You do unless God were with him.”

For we are not like the many who market God’s message for profit. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.

For am I now trying to win the favor of people, or God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ.

Now from those recognized as important (what they really were makes no difference to me; God does not show favoritism ) — they added nothing to me.
