Let those who seek to take my life be disgraced and confounded. Let those who wish me harm be driven back and humiliated.

Lord, who is like You among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, revered with praises, performing wonders?

On that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of Israel’s survivors.

It will be said to Me: Righteousness and strength is only in the Lord.” All who are enraged against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.

You who tremble at His word, hear the word of the Lord: “Your brothers who hate and exclude you because of Me have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified so that we can see your joy! ’ But they will be put to shame.”

To this they could find no answer.

Instantly he could see, and he began to follow Him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.

but they could not find a way to do it, because all the people were captivated by what they heard.

And they no longer dared to ask Him anything.

After threatening them further, they released them. They found no way to punish them, because the people were all giving glory to God over what had been done;

But they will not make further progress, for their lack of understanding will be clear to all, as theirs was also.

Your message is to be sound beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be ashamed, having nothing bad to say about us.

However, do this with gentleness and respect, keeping your conscience clear, so that when you are accused, those who denounce your Christian life will be put to shame.
