See, the Lord God comes with strength, and His power establishes His rule. His reward is with Him, and His gifts accompany Him.

Wake up, wake up! Put on the strength of the Lord’s power. Wake up as in days past, as in generations of long ago. Wasn’t it You who hacked Rahab to pieces, who pierced the sea monster?

The Lord has displayed His holy arm in the sight of all the nations; all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.

He sent His glorious arm to be at Moses’ right hand, divided the waters before them to obtain eternal fame for Himself,

Look, I will certainly make you insignificant among the nations, despised among humanity.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

For though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or show gratitude. Instead, their thinking became nonsense, and their senseless minds were darkened.

and every high-minded thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, taking every thought captive to obey Christ.

Or has a god attempted to go and take a nation as his own out of another nation, by trials, signs, wonders, and war, by a strong hand and an outstretched arm, by great terrors, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?

In the same way, you younger men, be subject to the elders. And all of you clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.

For this reason her plagues will come in one day — death and grief and famine. She will be burned up with fire, because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.
