But the Lord said to my father David, “Since it was your desire to build a temple for My name, you have done well to have this desire.

Then they said to each other, “We’re not doing what is right. Today is a day of good news. If we are silent and wait until morning light, our sin will catch up with us. Let’s go tell the king’s household.”

Do not take revenge or bear a grudge against members of your community, but love your neighbor as yourself; I am Yahweh.

You must regard the foreigner who lives with you as the native-born among you. You are to love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt; I am Yahweh your God.

The Lord asked, “Is it right for you to be angry? ”

The second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them — this is the Law and the Prophets.

Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Love, therefore, is the fulfillment of the law.

For the entire law is fulfilled in one statement: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Still, you did well by sharing with me in my hardship.

About brotherly love: You don’t need me to write you because you yourselves are taught by God to love one another.

But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but one who does good works — this person will be blessed in what he does.

Speak and act as those who will be judged by the law of freedom.

You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe — and they shudder.

Don’t criticize one another, brothers. He who criticizes a brother or judges his brother criticizes the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
