“Today when I came to the spring, I prayed: Lord, God of my master Abraham, if only You will make my journey successful!

He looked and saw a well in a field. Three flocks of sheep were lying there beside it because the sheep were watered from this well. A large stone covered the opening of the well.

When Pharaoh heard about this, he tried to kill Moses. But Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in the land of Midian, and sat down by a well.

Let them tell the righteous acts of the Lord, the righteous deeds of His warriors in Israel, with the voices of the singers at the watering places. Then the Lord’s people went down to the gates.

As they were climbing the hill to the city, they found some young women coming out to draw water and asked, “Is the seer here? ”
