Then He said, “Do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son from Me.”

Remember Your servants Abraham, Isaac, and Israel — You swore to them by Your very self and declared, ‘I will make your offspring as numerous as the stars of the sky and will give your offspring all this land that I have promised, and they will inherit it forever.’ ”

By Myself I have sworn; Truth has gone from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked: Every knee will bow to Me, every tongue will swear allegiance.

But if you do not obey these words, then I swear by Myself” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “that this house will become a ruin.”

For by Myself I have sworn” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “Bozrah will become a desolation, a disgrace, a ruin, and a curse, and all her cities will become ruins forever.”

The Lord of Hosts has sworn by Himself: I will fill you up with men as with locusts, and they will sing the victory song over you.

“Then I passed by you and saw you, and you were indeed at the age for love. So I spread the edge of My garment over you and covered your nakedness. I pledged Myself to you, entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine.” This is the declaration of the Lord God.

The Lord God has sworn by Himself — this is the declaration of Yahweh, the God of Hosts: I loathe Jacob’s pride and hate his citadels, so I will hand over the city and everything in it.

You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days long ago.
