Lord, happy is the man You discipline and teach from Your law

So now what have I here” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “that My people are taken away for nothing? Its rulers wail” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “and My name is continually blasphemed all day long.

I have known only you out of all the clans of the earth; therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Woe to the world because of offenses. For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes.

For, as it is written: The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.

but when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord, so that we may not be condemned with the world.

for the Lord disciplines the one He loves and punishes every son He receives.

As many as I love, I rebuke and discipline. So be committed and repent.
