When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We went to your brother Esau; he is coming to meet you — and he has 400 men with him.”

Esau said, “Let me leave some of my people with you.” But he replied, “Why do that? Please indulge me, my lord.”

So Esau said, “What do you mean by this whole procession I met? ” “To find favor with you, my lord,” he answered.

This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles.

Go, eat your bread with pleasure, and drink your wine with a cheerful heart, for God has already accepted your works.

Until now you have asked for nothing in My name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

“My lord,” she said, “you have been so kind to me, for you have comforted and encouraged your slave, although I am not like one of your female servants.”

Ruth the Moabitess asked Naomi, “Will you let me go into the fields and gather fallen grain behind someone who allows me to? ” Naomi answered her, “Go ahead, my daughter.”
