Thus says the Lord GOD: Let it suffice you, princes of Yisra'el: remove violence and spoil, and execute justice and righteousness; dispossessing my people, says the Lord GOD.

A merchant has dishonest scales in his hand. He loves to defraud.

*'You shall do no injustice in judgment: you shall not be partial to the poor, nor show favoritism to the great; but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.

But let justice roll on like rivers, and righteousness like a mighty stream.

He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?

Aren't these the words which the LORD proclaimed by the former prophets, when Yerushalayim was inhabited and in prosperity, and its cities around her, and the South and the lowland were inhabited?'*

The word of the LORD came to Zekharyah, saying,

*Woe to you, scribes and Perushim, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the Torah: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.

But woe to you Perushim! For you tithe mint and rue and every herb, but you bypass justice and the love of God. You ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone.

Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.*

*Does our Torah judge a man, unless it first hears from him personally and knows what he does?*

You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep go astray, and hide yourself from them: you shall surely bring them again to your brother.
